NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF MODIFICATION ORDER

The Hertfordshire County Council (Offley Bridleway 41) Modification Order 2019
The above named Order, made on 12th December 2019, was confirmed without modifications by Hertfordshire County Council on 30th June 2020.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement by adding to the particulars relating to Offley Bridleway 41 from Luton Road (public highway) adjacent to the Flints at
TL 1348 2684 (point A on the Order Plan) then running generally north north east for approximately 290 metres to Gt Offley Bypass at TL 1356 2711 (point B on the Order Plan) following north east beside the bypass for approximately 60 metres to TL 1361 2715 (point C on the Order Plan) then
across the bypass to TL 1360 2717 (point D on the Order Plan) continuing generally north west for approximately 260 metres to a junction with Offley Bridleway 38 at TL 1347 2739 (point E on theOrder Plan), continuing generally east north east for approximately 320 metres to join School Lane (public highway) at Birkitt Hill at TL 1376 2751 (point F on the Order Plan) by providing a width.
The width varies between 9 metres and 10 metres between TL 1348 2684 (point A on the Order Plan) and TL 1356 2711 (point B on the Order Plan) and varies between 5 metres and 16 metres between TL 1360 2717 (point D on the Order Plan) and TL 1376 2751 (point F on the Order Plan).
The width is 4 metres between TL 1356 2711 (point B on the Order Plan) and TL 1361 2715 (point C on the Order Plan) and 8.5 metres between TL 1361 2715 (point C on the Order Plan) and TL 1360 2717 (point D on the Order Plan).

The Order becomes operative as from the date on which it was confirmed, but if a person aggrieved by the Order desires to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, or any regulation made thereunder, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he may, under paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 of the Act within 42 days from 10th September 2020, make application for the purpose of the High Court.

New Road Closure TRO – Luton Road Offley from 21st September 2020

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN BALDOCK, GREAT WYMONDLEY, WILLIAN, OFFLEY, PIRTON, LANGLEY, ST PAULS WALDEN AND WHITWELL) ORDER 2020

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

3. that length of Luton Road, Offley from its junction with Offley Hill south westwards, westwards and south westwards to its junction with Lilleyhoo Lane, a distance of approximately 1456 metres.

An alternative route will be via Offley Hill, A505 (Offley Bypass/Moormead Hill/Offley Road), B655 (Pirton Road/Hexton Road/Hitchin Road/Barton Road), Lilley Road, Hexton Road, East Street, West Street, Lilley Bottom and Hollybush Hill.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 21 September 2020 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

A copy of the proposed Order may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm (excluding weekends, bank and public holidays).

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF KINGS WALDEN ROAD, OFFLEY) ORDER 2020

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using that length of Kings Walden Road, Offley from its junction with Harris Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 150 metres.

An alternative route will be via Kings Walden Road, High Street, Luton Road, Hollybush Hill, Lilley Bottom, C24 (unnamed road), C25 (unnamed road), Hoo Lane and Kings Walden Road.

The Order is needed because cabling works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 September 2020 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

A copy of the proposed Order may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm (excluding weekends, bank and public holidays).
